I.O has a sort of a tragic backstory, she was the lover of one of the original founders of the city but her sister Mercurine was so jealous of her beauty that she transformed her into a monster of horns and scales. She is bound to the orbit of Lost Heaven, and acts as both its guardian and a keeper of sorts. She feels neither sensation nor emotion, having been stripped of her humanity long ago, and needless to say, most intruders caught in her icy claws find it impossible to escape...
